Yayoi Kusama

Fifth graders studied artist Yayoi Kusama and then created their pumpkins, inspired by her polka-dot artwork. They chose colors, shapes, and patterns to incorporate into their final designs, using Sharpie markers and construction paper. Students also practiced their cutting and gluing skills. I co-taught this lesson with my mentor, Kelli Passmore.
