




I designed and lead taught this technology integrated learning segment to Ceramics 1 students. Each student selected one of their completed ceramics projects to use for this learning experience. Students wrote artist statements, then explored examples and non-examples of effective compositions in photography. Next, they learned how to shoot quality photos of their artwork with iPads and worked with their partners during a photo shoot. Finally, students collaborated with their partners to create augmented reality artist statement videos that were triggered by their ceramics artwork. We learned that the images with the black backdrops were more difficult to trigger the artist statements than the ones with white backdrops.
